It’s Valentines Day! For moms around the country they’ve written twenty five (plus) valentines cards for their children’s classmates, possibly taped candies and stuffed them into bags. They’ve found red clothes and made sure they’re clean for school, and had this all done by midnight, but more likely (as in my house) on the way out of the door.
Meetings, dinner, valentines day cards, dance, swimming classes and playdates…mom entrepreneurs lives are busy. If you’re an entrepreneurial mom, what do you want for Valentines Day? I’d say, the same thing you want everyday!
When was the last time you had an uninterrupted thought? Whether it’s the phone, the kids, a text or an email, we are constantly bombarded. How nice would an hour of pure honest quiet be? Give a mom the gift of quiet by taking the kids out. Away from the house. An hour alone will be her idea of bliss!
I saw a meme on Pinterest that said, clean house, dinner on table, kept the kids alive – pick two! Help a working mom out and do the third thing (hint: it’s make dinner or clean the house).
Entrepreneur moms are constantly working! They work at night when the kids are asleep, on the couch while they play Lego, they think about their todo list in their sleep and check emails when they first get up! Support an entrepreneurial mom by telling friends about her business. Give her biz a shout out on Facebook or Twitter. Find out what’s she’s been putting off (that pile of papers that need filing) and offer to do it for her.
Moms are humans too! They like luxe presents as well as clean houses and well behaved kids! Think about her tap tap tapping, hunched over the computer all day. Massage? Yes please! Stylist appointment to get a trim before a big meeting and offer to watch the kids! Holllaaaa! Champagne! Did you need to ask? Of course! Pass the glass.
Sometimes as much as you’d like to spend time alone, real quality time with your kids would top the list of the best gifts. Free time to play outside or inside cuddling on the couch are the best.
It’s the reason we start our own businesses so we can earn an income and be there for our kids.
Happy Valentines Day ladies!
