What or who inspired you to start your business?
I had a lot of friends telling me I should open up a business because they loved my gifts so much. I wasn’t sure at first but thought It couldn’t hurt to try and see. I am a stay at home mom of three and thought if this business works it would be a great way for me to contribute financially. It worked!
What are your most popular products or services?
My most popular products are crochet and knitted goods. I mostly make items to order so anything from character hats for kids, baby layettes to women’s scarves.
What do you love most about what you do?
The fiber arts are what I’m most passionate about. I love my job because I love my hobby. I get to be creative and give my creativity an outlet all while making a living. I get the best of both worlds.
How do you balance being a mom and entrepreneur?
Working from home is not as easy at it seems. You really have to be disciplined. I have set up my own hours and have an office. I basically work whenever I can, mostly at night.
What single piece of advice would you give moms starting their business?
My only piece of advice is to do what you love. If you do what you are passionate about you will definitely succeed. Just remember that your family comes first and that success is built over time and not over night.
How do you relax?
Lucky for me my hobbies are what relax me and now I am lucky enough that because my job is my hobby, working relaxes me.

There is no one particular place that inspires me. I get inspiration from all kinds of places. Fashion magazines, malls, people, dreams, nature, you name it.
What is your biggest fear?
When it comes to my business I have no fears. I believe that if you were fearful of failing you would have never started in the first place. In order to put yourself out there you have to be ok with failure and just pick yourself back up again.
What is your motto?
It’s going to sound corny but in business I live by these words. “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”
What motivates you?
Being able to stay at home with my children is what motivates me to make this work. I want to be that mom who will always have time for them, who will always be there when they need me. I had the privilege to grown up with a mom who was at home and I want my children to have that same privilege.
What makes you GO?
I think I’m hyper by nature so it does not take much to get me excited about things. I always have to be doing something otherwise I get bored and like a child I hate being bored.
