Krinkle Klean Ltd
What or who inspired you to start your business?
My Mom had her own cleaning business. I loved that she could manage her own hours and still spend time with her children. Although I can’t say I enjoyed working for her during my high school years, as most daughters can attest, I now have a clearer picture of all the sacrifices she made on my behalf. I hope to instill this work ethic within my own family. My four children have helped deliver flyers, do office work and launder cleaning supplies. I hope they feel that anything is possible with dedication and hard work.
What are your most popular products or services?
Krinkle Klean Ltd’s most popular service offered is custom residential cleanings. We also sell Norwex products that clients have the option to buy to maintain their homes in between scheduled cleanings.
What do you love most about what you do?
Simplifying people’s lives by allowing them more time with their family. I also enjoy getting to know my employees and feel that we provide a rewarding career with opportunities for growth.
How do you schedule being a mom and entrepreneur?
In many ways as my company has grown it has allowed more flexibility with time management. As owner I can schedule my office work around kids activities and I have been firm with myself about avoiding work on weekends.
What single piece of advice would you give moms starting their business?
I would tell them to grow slowly and enjoy the process. I would also recommend if possible to wait until your kids have started school to push for growth. Manage what you can when you can.
How do you relax?
As a family we love boating and spending time at the lake. I make sure to have date nights with my husband and at least once a month my girlfriend’s and I go out for wings.
What place inspires you and why?
We have been blessed to have a lake house and have thoroughly enjoyed the peace and freedom it provides. It feels like an escape from the hectic “city life”. I am able to gain a clearer perspective of my goals and prioritize my needs from my wants.
What is your biggest fear?
I can’t say that I have a biggest fear. I’m too busy to think about what to fear.
What is your motto?
Never look back.
What motivates you?
Success. As my company has grown I have enjoyed seeing what started as humble beginnings and small goals blossom into something I really never imagined.
What makes you GO?
Success. 4 years ago I wrote a business plan outlining specific goals I had hoped to achieve. I recently reviewed the plan and realized that I had doubled my goal in half the time! It was an exciting realization and a motivator to keep moving forward.
